If you are already enrolled in Miacademy then you can take advantage of the tutoring sessions instead. Tutoring can be added at anytime.

This is a virtual microschool. We work with the parent to sign the student up for classes. At the top of the page of the website you will pick K-3 or 4-8th grade. On the form you will let us know what classes you would like for  your child to be signed up in. We are an approved Miacademy Microschool, providing access to Miacademy classes online. The program provides everything you need for the school year-core curriculum and fun optional electives. 

Students will be provided a login to access Miacademy at anytime during the day to work on lessons. The program provides grades, but we will provide semester grade reports for your homeschool paperwork. 

In addition, the student will be provided a once a week instructor session to be used for tutoring or practice assessments. 

If you are looking for no stress homeschooling with the basics handled, then our microschool is perfect for you. The student will be able to work at his/her pace over the year. States require 180 days of homeschooling, but you can pick which days you would like for your child to work in Miacademy over the 365 day school year. 

The program is relaxed, allowing a fun atmosphere. Parents are welcome to add in supplement lessons and are encouraged to take local field trips or join local co-ops in their area. 

The student will not have set times to log into the program. Instead the family will work together to find the best times for the student to ​log into the program to complete the assignments. All assignments include a quick video lesson, practice in the workbook, comprehension questions, and then a graded assessments before moving to the next assignment. Our program can reassign lessons, if ​we see the student needs more practice on topics. 

Families are also welcome to take off as many days as needed for vacation, RV travel, or just relaxation days. The work will be there when you are ready. The joy of homeschooling is finding time as a family to explore with no deadlines or stress. 

Miacademy curriculum provides pdf worksheets that go along with current online lessons. Practice is needed to help students with comprehension. So it is not recommended that families allow their children to skip written work, reflection pages, and provided pdfs. The pdfs and the lesson work together for success.


With everything provided, this takes the worry away from curriculum planning and allows the parent the freedom to focus on working on workbook pages with the student, if needed.  

Yes, we do offer mid year enrollment. Please note that Miacademy has a set price for the year so we are not able to prorate the curriculum fee. But we are able to turn off lessons they have already covered in the school system or in a previous homeschool curriculum, if you would like. 

Some families decide to turn off some lessons and then open them back up at the end of the year for review purposes. In the end, the family can pick which option and how many lessons are needed for each subject. The entire program can be personalized for a positive experience.
