Math Practice
Location: Zoom With Mrs. Collins

This once a week morning session is a great way to practice key math facts. Each day will feature a short lesson, and then interactive math practice on Quizizz. Quizizz features multiple choice questions that provide immediate feedback. In addition, weekly math concept worksheets will be provided for students interested. Each session will vary from addition/subtraction speed problems, multiplication facts, division steps, fractions, decimals, polygons, and more. This class is a great way to practice key math standards across the grade levels.

Fairy Tales, Rhymes & Poetry
Location: Zoom With Mrs. Collins

This type of class helps transport students as they explore and create stories that feature exaggeration and larger-than-life characters, often rooted in American folklore. These stories are characterized by unbelievable feats, strong heroes, and settings often related to the frontier or the American West. This cross curriculum class will help students identify key symbolism in language arts, practice creative writing assignments, encourage reading comprehension in a unique way, and spark imagination.

Edible Science Labs
Location: Zoom With Mrs. Collins

Science you can eat! Lots of fun ideas for kids to learn about food science from the kitchen while learning science. Examples: Oreo Moon Phases, Twizzler DNA Helix, Cell Cake, Oreo Pudding Soil Layer Cup, etc. Students will be presented a short science lesson, and then the group will work together on the Zoom to create the day's lab.
